In the 'Afterword' to this story the author notes that it's a departure from his usual non-consensual work and asks for readers'comments. My advice: return to his earlier/usual stories ASAP. While a well-written work, this story follows the setting and well-trodden path of literally hundreds of other D/S novels, while the imagination, scope and strength of his earlier, non-consensual settings have much more limited competition and even fewer peers. It's basically a difference between being good-to-very-good among many or being truly notable among a select few! 3 out of 5 (Veritas)
Author reply: Thank you for the comments, which I'll take as a compliment overall. You'll be disappointed to know I have a follow-up to this story in the works, but then it's back to my more hardcore writings. I'll be working on a Shackel's Ranch 3 that will light you up I'm sure!! Just wait and see what I in store for the Shackel family and friends. W.L.
Loved it, 5 stars. Don't stop! This was very exciting. 5 out of 5 (J)
A bit different from the author's usual flavor however the story presents a descriptive and rousing tale of domestic domination of a submissive wife to her demanding husband. A story sure to please the fans of this genre. 5 out of 5 (jason)
I did like this book about a beautiful lady submitting to her husband and new dom, I would have liked a couple more chapters possibly witnessing the nipple piercing 5 out of 5 (homebody1)
As a female D/S fanatic of sorts, the story was a seductive work of art. My body tingled from start to finish. My only complaint thus 4 stars, it should have been twice as long. It felt like Maryann's adventure was only just beginning. 4 out of 5 (slave t)
The theme of a pretty rich girl succumbing to her suppressed sexual desires at the hands of her unexpectedly dominant husband is a very entertaining thing for me. I particularly enjoyed the way she was drawn into experiencing her extreme fantasies in such a public and deeply humiliating way. Kudos to W.L. Dowd on this one! 5 out of 5
A little too soft on the BDSM side. Good story tho 3 out of 5
Certainly a slightly softer side to this author, but 100% enjoyable for sure. The characters are well developed and I hope we get to read more about Charles and Maryann. I expect it’s inevitable that Maryann gets her nipples ringed soon. 5 out of 5 (steve)
An exceptional story of an introduction to submission. The party scene set up and description of the activities were very good. Mr. & Mrs. Driscoll are very well drawn characters. Look forward to further adventures of this couple 5 out of 5
I think this is a great build up to a very submissive conclusion for Mrs Driscoll. I liked that her own curiosity was the source of the change in their relationship (as was mine) although I was left wondering how Charles became part of an obviously well established club. However, his patience in waiting for her to come to the fulfilment of her desires through his earlier but unacknowledged discovery of these hit a note with me. My reasons for giving a 4 instead of a 5 are only two: that, as with most Silver Moon books, it has the usual lack of decent proofreading (and yes, i would happily help with this); and that it could have done with being longer! I like reading non-consensual stories as fantasy but I appreciate the author spending time on my preferred type of theme. 4 out of 5 (SubRat)
Interesting theme. Unique to me. In a couple of places I was left pondering. Overall good. 4 out of 5 (Fred)
Excellent story. I bit different for this author, but never the less, it was top shelf. The submissive wife and lesbian action was a real turn on. 5 out of 5
Great story and a different view of WL Dowd. 5 out of 5 (AD)
A very mild story of a submissive finding herself with her husbands help. Well written but I prefer stronger fair. 3 out of 5 (Stark47)
