| In this sequel to 'Invasion of the Wife Snatchers', life gets worse for the Pettigrews of Bolton Square. As we know, SS Hauptmann Dieter Faust and Oberleutnant Hans Gerwig don't take no for an answer. We follow the events around Christmas 1940 in this alternate version of history.
This story was begun long before Russia invaded Ukraine. I have struggled to finish this episode because fantasy is fantasy and it should always remain so. Similarly, real history cannot be altered and most of us hoped that Europe, if not quite the entire world, had said goodbye to war forever. The present is a terrible reminder that bombs and bullets kill, and soldiers do dreadful things to each other and to civilians too. It is never my intention to glamorise violence of any kind. Non-consensual sex is always wrong.
