In 1901, Bedford and Cavor set off for the Moon in “The Sphere”: a revolutionary spaceship propelled by the antigravity metal Cavorite. But when they reached the Moon, they find a world far stranger – and more dangerous – than they had imagined. There are vast fungus forests that grow in a few hours and contain sex stimulating phallic fungi, huge creeping Mooncalves, great hidden caverns – and a race of intelligent, insectile beings who are the masters of the Moon!
Captured by the Selenites, the explorers are subjected to a variety of intimate and degrading examinations. The men offer Nancy and Hazel up as test subjects to satisfy their inhuman captors’ curiosity about human physiology, and the women undergo numerous humiliations, including penetration by every orifice; having their bodies intimately adjusted; taking part in a bizarre form of inhuman reproduction; and putting on a sex show for the Grand Lunar. Are the Selenites even worse than their human masters, and what plans do they have that might imperil the Earth? If that were not enough to contend with, the women also find that they are developing intense feelings for each other.
Then Nancy and Hazel are faced with a terrible dilemma – to continue to submit to Selenite domination or to return to the strict service of Bedford and Cavor. The future of the world might also hang in the balance. Amid all this, can they ever find true love and happiness?
